I’m so pleased to share that one of my favourite websites - Food52 - recently highlighted our meal co-op experiment: The Meal Prep that hack that completely changed our lunch game: for better lunches use the buddy system.

As the article explains, I reached out to Kristen Miglore last year with the story of how we’ve been sharing meals - a genius way to save time and build a village! We emailed a few times and in December she connected me with her executive editor Joanna Sciarrino, for an interview about our meal co-op.

It was fascinating to chat about this in the context of Small Changes that make Big Differences - the theme of the series they are writing - because I think as humans, it’s our consistent tendency is to make things harder.  We do it with expectations of impressive effort and long term impact. And yet - if we keep it tiny, we’re so much more likely DO IT again, and closer to forming an actual habit. So we pared down the idea of a big department experiment to a much more manageable lunch meal co-op, with one other colleague (Brinda). Tiny!

Read the article and leave a comment about whether you’ve ever done this kind of thing. I’m so thrilled this is getting to a wider audience and to hear more ideas of tweaking the concept to fit people’s lives.
